Countdown to Fall Kickoffs

Let's Score a Touchdown for Scouting

Catch all the latest news, scores & game details on this year's Fall Scouting Kickoff on this page as information becomes available.

At the Fall Scouting Kickoffs, plans and updates will be provided on key areas of Scouting to help you with recruiting and planning for the Fall Product Sale to ensure your unit's treasury is prepared for another great year of Scouting. Like a football game, there are multiple quarters of action planned, so each Scout group is asked to bring as many volunteers as possible to ensure all the action is caught!

MEMBERSHIP GAME PLAN

  • Each unit is asked to tackle its Fall Membership Season and help new blue-chip recruits and their families to our Scouting program.
  • Each Scouting group is asked to plan to join their school's Meet the Teacher/Open house dates. Then kickoff the season with a Join Scouting Night. Have 3-4 additional dates planned by summer so when promotional fliers and information is shared, the families you are recruiting have several opportunities to join Scouting. The purpose is often families report missing the "join night" and think they missed the opportunity. We want to give every family and every young person the opportunity to join Scouting.
  • After a group completes the "Join Scouting Night" use regular Den Meeting, Pack Meeting and/or Troop meeting dates to allow families to visit your unit. Have a unit volunteer be a Welcome/Greeter to meet these new families. Then please plan a fourth quarter type recruiting effort at a community festival, parade or Trunk-or-Treat Fall event. Each of these will help, especially as families finish Fall sports. Please remember youth can join Scouting at anytime.
  • Cub Scout Packs and Troops will have receive some general recruiting fliers with basic contact information, including the list of dates you provide prior to this meeting. The purpose of these fliers is to help each unit be prepared for the recruiting season.

PRODUCT SALE

Register your unit now to ensure you're receiving the latest information about this year's sale. Each year unit's is required to re-register key leader contact information.

Fall Product Sale Dates & letter from committee

FALL PRODUCT SALE GAME PLAN

  • Punch your Unit's ticket by attending this session and learn of all the great opportunities the Fall Product Sale brings this year to help raise support for your unit's treasury to ensure a successful Scouting season.
  • The new Popcorn Committee has been meeting since late Winter and have received tremendous feedback from many and have a game-plan to help grow the popcorn sale this year. With just a few hours selling, Scouts can fund their entire year of activities with this fundraiser.
  • Why do multiple fundraisers during the year, when a well-run popcorn sale can fund your entire Scouting year! Please plan to be an active Scout group doing the things Scouts love to do, and not a Scout group that spends the year fundraising! With the Fall Product Sale you can have a successful Scouting program!
