Volunteers Needed to Help at Marathon LPGA Classic

On Saturday, July 13, Black Swamp Area Council is helping with the Marathon LPGA Classic in Toledo, and we are in need of 10 adult volunteers for that day. Will you help us and Scouting in our council?

For the day, we need 10 total people (5 people for two shifts 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 4 p.m.) at the front gate as greeters. With this volunteer effort, you will receive a FREE volunteer uniform package (value $15), which includes t-shirt, parking, grounds badge good for the entire week, access to the volunteer tent when working and volunteer party ticket. When not at the front gate you get to enjoy the tournament play.

Because of our efforts, we will receive funding to bring several items to our Scouting program that I call “dream list items” that we would not otherwise be able to provide for our Scouting efforts. Please help Black Swamp with a successful effort!

Lastly, I need 3 volunteers for clean-up on Monday, July 15, 8 a.m., at the golf course, but need to have your name to report to tournament officials.

The tournament takes place at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Toledo and I’ll have additional details for your once you’ve committed to helping this day.
