Key Summer Camp Dates 2024

As Summer Camp 2024 countdown begins, I wanted to reach out and send some information and key dates as they are coming up.

Key Dates:

• March 20, 2024 - Leaders Webinars
  • Camp Berry at 7pm to 7:30pm - Click HERE to register for the webinar
  • Camp Lakota at 8pm to 8:30pm - Click HERE to register for the webinar
• March 31, 2024 - payment of $100 per Scout is due (if you haven't put in how many youths are attending, please do so and if you need help, please reach out to me and I can help enter that number in)
• Camp Scholarships – Scholarships to go to camp are open. This is only open to Black Swamp Area Council Units. Click HERE for registration.
• April 6, 2024 - Camp Lakota Merit Badge Registration Opens at 8am
• April 7, 2024 - Camp Berry Merit Badge Registration Opens at 8am
• May 1, 2024 - Scouts and Scout Sibling Early Discount Ends
• May 15, 2024 - Final Payment Due
• June 1, 2024 – New Scout & Arrow of Light Crossovers Early Discount Ends

Camp Information:

We recently had our Summer Camp 2024 Kickoff, and it was great to see those that attended. If you we're unable to attend the kickoff, Click HERE and it will take you to the webpage were the kickoff PowerPoint and Video Recording is posted, as well as all the webinars' recordings will be posted. That page is where you will find all the resources as well.

Also, please, if you have any Scouts or Scouters that have Dietary Restrictions to fill out the form on the Scouts BSA Registration, Forms & Resources page. That way we can better plan food.

On a side note, we are still looking for Camp Staff for the summer. If you have any Scouts or Scouters that want to work on Camp Staff at either Camp Lakota or Camp Berry, please have them go onto the council website and download the application and have them email it back to me and I will make sure it gets to the right camp leadership team.
