On Thanksgiving Day November 23, Team Rubicon and the Black Swamp Area Council, Boy Scouts of America are opening our hearts to put on a Thanksgiving meal at Camp Berry in Donnell Lodge Dining Hall. 

Black Swamp Area Council has had a partnership with Team Rubicon for more than Five years, hosting chainsaw training courses and weekends with the group's volunteers sharpening their skills before going out to disaster sites. Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. They were founded following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, the organization has grown to more than 150,000 volunteers across the United States and has launched more than 1,100 operations domestically and internationally. Team Rubicon focuses on three areas of impact: disaster services, rebuild services and international services. More information can be found at www.teamrubiconusa.org.

This opportunity is such a great way to make sure those that don’t have a place to go or those who are on duty during this day, have a Thanksgiving meal and they know that others are there for them and we care about them. The Tribesgiving is for all Veterans, First Responders, Law Enforcement, and Scouting families in need of a meal, it is set for November 23rd, 2023, at Camp Berry in Donnell Lodge Dining Hall. We also have an opportunity for any Scouting Units that would like to come around 2pm to help make up meals to take out to our Men and Women that are on duty whether it is Law Enforcement, EMS, Hospital, or Fire Department. We want to make sure they all get a meal and Thank them for working on Thanksgiving!
