Duty and honor are spoken out loud in the Scout Oath at every meeting and event by Scouts across Northwest Ohio. But for Memorial Day 2022, those Scouts put into practice what they have pledged. In various cities across the county and locally Scouts reflect on the sacrifice of those who have given their lives in military service. In communities from Wauseon, Defiance, and Edgerton, Scouts placed flags on hundreds of graves of fallen members of the military and veterans who have passed away and participated in their community parades, observances and rememberances.

Bryson Dick, a Lima Senior High School graduate, is continuing his education at the University of Oklahoma in Aerospace Engineering.
Bryson was set on the path during his time in the City of Findlay Airport Aviation Exploring program. Even through the pandemic, heremained optimistic to remain in the program to continue learning about the aviation industry. |

Bryson initially became interested in aviation while in school and enjoyed learning about World War II, the Cold War era, and learning about the air and sky battles that occurred during that time. He was also interested in the new technology that was being utilized in the 1940’s, ultimately sparking his interest in the aviation field and finding a connection in this Exploring program.
