Apology for no Kernel Journal last week. With attempting to tally final orders and wrap up the sale, the newsletter was not published

The Popcorn Sale has surpassed $247,566 this year, and a big improvement overall last year’s final $218,893. This year’s final number is likely to change slightly as there is a unit sale the council team is working on completing at this time.
TOP SELLING SCOUT – Riley B. of Troop 914, with $12,055
TOP SELLING UNIT – Troop 914, in Old Sycamore District with $26,935
Here are some highlights of the sale:
Unit Take Orders can be scheduled for pickup at this time. With only having the need to order additional Cheese Lovers, council has all other products in stock. Unit Kernels must call or email Jim Mason about making arrangements for pickup now beginning Monday, with Cheese Lovers available after it arrives late next week. Pickups must be scheduled as only 4-5 units orders can be pre-pulled each day because of limited spacing at the council office. Jim can be reached at jim.mason@scouting.org or 567.208.5267.
This year’s Seller’s Club celebration events are currently being planned with the intention of them taking place in December. Stay tune to the council website and emails to unit leaders for announcement when details are available. The council popcorn committee is looking to host multiple events in different communities, where in the past it was one event on one day. Scouts who sold $900-plus are eligible for these events.
