SALES TOTALS ARE AMAZING

The Popcorn Sale has surpassed $247,566 this year, and a big improvement overall last year’s final $218,893. This year’s final number is likely to change slightly as there is a unit sale the council team is working on completing at this time.

• 68 Units committed to sell. Up from 37 in 2024.

PRIZE DRAWINGS UPDATES

Prize dates to know (updated 11/12/25):

• Nov. 14 - last day for ordering prizes online from Keller Marketing. This likely includes the need to have individual Scout sales totals submitted on the Pecatonica website. Keller is the company being used for online sales pins, popcorn sale patch, military sales pin, and the $900 Seller’s Club Prize. Keller closes their website portal at the end of the day, Nov. 14.
• Nov. 16 will be the last day to enter individual sales results for Scouts so they are eligible for prize drawings for council level prizes. This includes the $500 Bonus Level entry for the Top 3 Scouts in council to receive gift cards from a council Scout Shop. And for entry into the Campers Club to be eligible for campership discounts for 2026.

SELLER’S CLUB EVENTS BEING PLANNED

This year’s Seller’s Club celebration events are currently being planned with the intention of them taking place in December. Stay tune to the council website and emails to unit leaders for announcement when details are available. The council popcorn committee is looking to host multiple events in different communities, where in the past it was one event on one day. Scouts who sold $900-plus are eligible for these events.

FILL-IT-UP WEEKLY REPORT – WEEK 10 WINNERS

The weekly Fill-it-Up drawings are underway. Here’s a list of winners, including the most recent Week 10 recipients, which is a double giveaway week:

*-Weeks 2&5 feature a double-prize with each selected Scout’s unit receiving a free cabin rental at Camp Berry.

Week 10 was the last week for Fill-It-Up prize drawings

FINAL UNIT PAYMENT IS DUE BY DEC. 8

The unit payments are due into the Findlay office by Dec. 8. Full details on Page 19 of the Unit Kernel Guidebook. Look for final invoices by the end of November, via email. This email is planned to be sent the week of Nov. 24 and will be sent to Unit Kernel, Committee Chair and Top Unit leader. If your unit would like the invoice sooner, contact Linda Weyer at Linda.Weyer@scouting.org for amount due because the unit dashboards show a larger amount.

• Make check payable to Black Swamp Area Council
• Make your Unit payment using one of the following methods:
  • Bring or mail your Unit check to the Findlay or Lima Scout offices.
  • Payment by credit card is accepted but incurs a 3% processing fee.

UNIT FEEDBACK SURVEY DUE BY NOV. 30

Unit kernels are asked to complete this survey on behalf of their unit. The last day for submissions has been extended to Nov. 30. This information is being gathered to help improve our product sales fundraising efforts.
