Final days of the popcorn sale

With less than two weeks remaining in the sale, there’s still plenty of time to make your sales goals, we Nov. 1 is the official end date for Show & Sell and Take Orders.

There is extra product available from the council office if you need, or you can take orders using the paper order forms and Take Order.

Product Return Guidelines – Now Open for Full Case Returns

Units may begin returning full cases of popcorn products. Please follow these updated guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient return process:

✅What’s Accepted

• Full cases only (until Nov. 4)
• Products must be in re-sellable condition
  • No dents, ripped boxes, melted chocolate, or single tins without a box
• Original case boxes only
  • Repack tins and containers neatly
• Do not mix product types in a single case
  • Example: Do not place Butter and Kettle in the same box
• Do not tape cases shut
  • We must be able to verify quantity and type

❌ What’s Not Accepted

• Damaged or melted products
• Mixed product types in one case
• Individual containers (unless pre-approved)

• Findlay Office – Use the marked parking spot behind the building

📅 Scheduling Your Return

• Contact Jim Mason to schedule your return time before arriving

📄 Required Form

• Complete a Return Order Form online or use paper copy
  • Download it from the Council Popcorn Webpage
  • Preferred method: www.prpopcorn.com

FILL-IT-UP WEEKLY REPORT – WEEK 8 WINNERS

The weekly Fill-it-Up drawings are underway. Here’s a list of winners, including the most recent Week 8 recipients, which is a double giveaway:

*-Weeks 2&5 feature a double-prize with each selected Scout’s unit receiving a free cabin rental at Camp Berry.

PLEASE KNOW THAT FOR WEEK 9 THERE WILL BE TWO PRIZES OFFERED IN EACH DISTRICT. THE SECOND PRIZE WILL COME FROM THE MYSTERY GRAB BAG, IN WHICH UNIT KERNELS WILL BE MADE AWARE OF SO THE SCOUT CAN PICK A GIFT!

PHOTOS OF SCOUTS SELLING ARE NEEDED

If you have a photo or two of your Scouts selling popcorn, please email them to Jim Mason. There is a goal to use these photos to help promote the sale and share the hard work of the kids in our community.

PAYMENT NUMBER 2 IS DUE NOV. 1

As a reminder, making payments to council are essential in business operations. As a non-profit agency, payments of these funds are needed for operations and expenses related directly to the popcorn sale.

The second unit payment date is Nov. 1. Full details on Page 19 of the Unit Kernel Guidebook.

• Make check payable to Black Swamp Area Council
• Make your Unit payment using one of the following methods:
• Bring or mail your Unit check to the Findlay or Lima Scout offices.
• Payment by credit card is accepted but incurs a 3% processing fee.

HERE ARE SOME RECENT QUESTIONS:

Q: Scout who sold more than $2,000, do they get the choice prize for the $900 Sellers Club and the camp $100 discount.

               A: They receive both prize and camp discount.

Q: Final orders are to include military donations; do we add it to the order form and email it to you?

               A: Yes, please include military donations to final order form so you unit receives credit.

Q: 50% payment is due Nov. 1, product return is due Nov. 3-4, can I bring a check for payment and my returns at the same time?

A: Yes, you can bring together, but I need product by Nov. 3-4 deadline. You can come earlier with product return if you would like to help with scheduling. Contact Jim Mason to schedule a return date/time.

Q: I have 35 classic caramel, 32 kettle, and 16 sea salt splash left that are unsold. Are we still only allowed to return full cases?

               A: Only full case for returns are being accepted at this time. See more details on product returns above in this Oct. 23 newsletter above.
