HELPS FOR YEAR-END ACTIVITIES

To help provide some resources and guidance to assist your unit.   Below are resources to help assist with recruiting, membership, Friends of Scouting, recharter date, popcorn. 

Below is a short list of items to consider as for this time of the year and begin preparing for 2017.

Top 5 Unit Leader Checklist:

1. Bring a buddy to October/November meeting stickers available. This is a great resource to share on Halloween candy, parades, or fall fests. Have your Scout bring a buddy and share the program of Scouting.

2. Membership unit roster from unit leader – If able, please send your units roster to your District Executive. This will help verify registration.  Helping make recharter easier for your unit.
3. Friends of Scouting DATE – We are beginning to plan and setup 2017 Friends of Scouting dates for your unit.  Please send your preferred date for the presentation to Doug Ditto at (419) 303-2787 or doug@coreconsulting.ws or to Jim Mason.  Blue and Gold, Court of Honors are great events to have.  Also many units are kicking off their 2017 FOS in November/December.  Please let us know a date convenient. 
4. Recharter Date – online re-charter notices were e-mailed to Great Oaks units Oct. 20 to key leadership within your unit.  Recharter begins November 1^st.

5. Popcorn Return- Also returns are on this Saturday Oct. 29 at the location listed below. This is the only date to return produce unless other arrangements have been made to return with Sara Stevenson (419) 604-0293. This will be the only day as we will need to coordinate the overall sale numbers so we can place the order with Pecatonica for the take order.
