Scouting rounds you out

Come join us for a weekend of Scouting skills and good times. The Old Sycamore District Fall Camporee is Sept. 15-17, at the 4H Camp in Celina. The cost is $10 per person.

 

 

 

Old Sycamore Fall Camporee 2017

 

This year the Fall Camporee will be held on the weekend of September 15, 16, and 17^th at the 4H Campgrounds off Harbor Point Drive in Celina, OH.  The theme for this year is “Scouting Rounds You Out”.  This will be a fun opportunity for everyone as this was the exact site of the Boy Scout Camp Qussucotan in the 1920’s.  We are able to sleep in the original cabins from that camp.  There are no mattresses on the bunks, so please bring your own.  Tent camping is also available if a troop would prefer to do so.

 

Things Available at the Camporee

1. An exciting program for your Scouts
2. Plenty of parking (on the southeast corner of the campgrounds)
3. Religious Services for all faiths
4. First Aid on site
5. Fresh water supply (Flushing Toilets)
6. Special patch for the event

 

Items you need to bring

1. A Scout uniform is proper dress for the weekend
2. Troop Camping and Cooking Gear (provide your own meals)
3. Charcoal for cooking (Please NO ground fires.  Above ground fire pits are permitted
4. Medical history forms for each Scout and Scouter (We will need to see them but the medical forms will be kept with the unit leader)
5. Garbage bags to take your unit’s trash home
6. Totin’ Chip and Firem’n Chit

 

Camporee No-No’s

1. ONLY your troop’s trailer will be permitted to stay in the campsite area
2. NO cars or trucks in the campsite area
3. Radio’s, TV’s, Computer games and cell phones

1. The cost for the event will be $10.00 per person
